. ?i- 4, <br />•- PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JLTLY 23, 1985 <br />PAGE 2 <br />proposal to construct a gas station, food mart, and car wash at the south <br />east corner of Great Northern Blvd and Lorain Road subject to the items <br />contained in the Architectural Board of Review Minutes, and also with the <br />approved landscaping as presented by the Shell representatives tonight and <br />also with the suggestion that the stop bar on Great Northern Blvd. be <br />located south of the northern most driveway to help alleviate the con- <br />cerns expressed by the Safety Department in their memo relative to the <br />traffic problems in that area, and also including the signage, seconded <br />by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />2) St. Brendans Church, Kenny and Brendan Lanes Proposal to construct church <br />Heard by the Architectural Board of Review July 17, 1985. <br />The Architectural Board had approved as presented. In referance to the <br />comment made in the Architectural Board's minutes regarding parking lot <br />being no further away from the building than 400 feet, Building Commis- <br />sioner Gundy explained that this restriction applied to service businesses <br />and in the Limited Industrial area or to off property parking. Commission <br />had no problem with the proposal. J. Wixted moved to approve the proposal <br />to construct St. Brendans Church at Kenny and Brendan Lane as submitted, <br />seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. <br />3) Christ The King Community, located on the west side of Barton Road between <br />I-480 and the North Olmsted corporate line. <br />Detailed development plans for residential units for first phase of com- <br />munity. Heard by the Architectural Board of Review July 17, 1985. <br />Mr. J. Young and Mr. Hass represented Christ The King. The Architectural <br />Board had approved plans as submitted. Engineer Schaller explained that <br />the Cleveland Water Department will be diverting some water to the south- <br />west suburbs to alleviate the present problems, and that a meeting will <br />be set up to discuss water pressure problems for both Christ The King and <br />the proposed Industrial Park. Mr. Schaller will keep the Planning Commis- <br />sion appraised of progress. If there is not sufficient pressure, as deter- <br />mined by the Fire Department, building permits will not be issued. J.' <br />Wixted moved to approve the detailed development plans for residential <br />units for the first phase of Christ The King Community located on the west <br />side of Barton Road between I-480.and the North Olmsted corporate line as <br />submitted, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />4) Marianne Bridal Shop, 29895 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct retail shopping center. <br />Miss Walsh, the owner, presented the revised site plan showing one access <br />drive onto Lorain Road as stipulated by Planning Commission. All parking <br />spaces are wider than required and number of spaces and all signs conform <br />to code. Dumpster has been relocated. Neither Police or Fire Department <br />had any object3on to plans. The Architectural Board had approved as sub- <br />mitted.'.T. Morgan moved to approve the proposal to construct a strip <br />shopping center by Marianne`s Bridal Shop at 29895 Lorain Road also in- <br />cluding the recommendations of the Architectural Board of Review and in- <br />cluding the signage, seconded by J.
