Since the notice which was sent to adjacent property owners
did not indicate that this was a two story building, Chairma.n Burns
requested that corrected notices be sent when the proposal returns to
the Cammission after its review by the Architectural Board. Mr. Hoty
explained that in order to make this proposal financially feasible, he
would have to increase the square footage and because of the grade a two
story building will be more visible from Lorain Road. Parking conforms
to code, 96 spaces are required and 114 spaces are being provided. No
handicapped access is provided for the offices, and according to Mr.
Draeger, they are not required by code. Two driveways had been approved
for the previous proposal, however, the Commission would like this re-
appraised. B. Gorris moved to refer the Hoty Enterprises proposal to
construct a combined retail sales/office building at 24363 Lorain Road
to the Architectural Board of Review for their input and to the Safety
Department for their input, seconded by E. Traczyk, and unanimously
approved. .
5) SuperAmerica-(Ashland Oil Co:),.24046-Lorain Rd.- .
Proposal to add to existing-canopy, remodel building facia, and add _
third island at rear of station.
Mr. Human from Ashland Oil presented plans for the alteration: third
island will be added; paved area will be increased; the canopy will-be
extended and new facia will be installed on the building and the canopy.
Chairman Burns pointed out that no air dispenser is shown on plans but
is required by code. =J.
