Draeger), approxiinately 24363 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct strip shopping center.
Heard by Planning Commission april 23, 1985.
Architect, G. Draeger, studied copy of Safety Department report and after
some discussion, Mr. Hoty, the owner, stated that they will change parking
to right angles and will discuss with the Planning Commission making the
western drive right turn only for exit (driveway will be both entrance and
exit). Board agreed that this might alleviate traffic problems at Lorain
and Walter Roads. Building will be white (oyster) split block with a
Weyerhaeuser 15 sign panel (aluminium laminated to plywood); a brown asphalt
shingled roof, dark bronze aluminium trim with clear glass windows; rear
doors will be dark bronze and it was decided that aluminium cap flashing
will be white baked enamel finish. Because of sign panel, signs will be
limited to approximately 2'8" in height. Building will be lighted with
high pressure sodium lights under the canopy and parking lot and rear pro-
perty will be lighted by Illuminating Company pole lights. Mechanical
equipment will be at the rear at grade, no mechanical equipment will be
on roof. Tree lawn area will be a Beaumonite (concrete processed to
resemble red brick). Revised landscape plan shows 4 honey locust trees -
and grass in front 7' landscape buffer; pole sign will also be installed
in this buffer. S. Ebin moved to approve the plans as submitted with
f'
the understanding that parking will be at right angles, western drive r'
will be right turn only for exit; only four honey locust trees in land-
scape plans; sign will be relocated in landscape buffer, seconded by S.
Ebin, and unanimously approved.
r'
