« <br />.. . <br />ARCHTTECTURAL BOARD OF REVZEW MAY 22, 1985 PAGE 2 <br />b) Canterbury Tennis Academy (Mongello & Assoc.), 5870 Canterbury Rd. <br />Proposal to construct tennis school. <br />(Heard by the Board of Zoning Appeals April 3, 1985). <br />(Heard by Planning Commission May 14, 1985). <br />Mr. Kadar, the owner, and Mr. Waterbury, the contractor, explained that <br />they are planning to preserve the natural look of the property, and as <br />many of the larger trees as possible will remain. Proposal is for two <br />Omni tennis courts (non-illuminated); parking area will be asphalt with <br />gravel turning area; wQlmani;zed cedar wood board on board fence will be <br />on property line; green plastic coated chain link fence (10` high) with <br />a green wind screen hung inside will surround courts. House will remain <br />a residence but basement will be made into locker and shower rooms and <br />cedar patio deck with exterior stairway will be constructed above garage; <br />gazebo is planned between courts. Walkways will be constructed of rail- <br />road ties, sandstone, and gravel. S. Ebin moved to approve the plans <br />for the Canterbury Tennis Academy as presented, seconded by M.
