. <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARGHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - AUGUST 21, 1985 <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case and S. Ebin <br />Absent: J. Cavaluchi and R. Mongello <br />Also Present: Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the minutes of July 17, 1985 as submitted, <br />seconded liy M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />a) Carriage Carpet/Industrial Electric Co/Waterbed Emporium, 24139-43 <br />Lorain Rd. <br />Sign package for entire building requested by the Architectural Board of <br />Review on January 16, 1985. <br />Mr. M.. Dye of Impact Signs explained that he had the Carriage Carpet and <br />Waterbed Emporium signs which have been approved by the Building Com- <br />missioner. Industrial Electric signs have not been approved because <br />they are oversized. The Industrial Electric signs are to be presented <br />by another sign company.representative, who is not present. Carriage <br />Carpet sign will be white letters on a black background with gray trim <br />and will be internally illuminated. Waterbed Emporium will have a yel- <br />low back ground with yellow.letters on a red band with a logo (palm tree) <br />in green and brown on a yellow background. One internally illuminated <br />(underground wiring) pole sign for all three businesses is black and <br />white. S. Ebin moved that the building signs for Waterbed Emporium and <br />Carriage Carpet be approved as submitted; and that the pole sign be <br />approved as submitted and that the proposed signs for Industrial E1ec- <br />tric not be approved and must be resubmitted to this Board with the com- <br />ment that the proposed signs are oversized and we do not like the fact <br />that one sign projects above the roof, seconded by M. Case, and unani- <br />mously approved. <br />b) Skyline Chili, north side of Lorain Rd., west of Berkshire Dr. <br />Complete sign package not available, will be presented later. <br />c) Self Service Maxi Wash, corner of Lorain and Root Roads. <br />Pole sign approved as submitted with building plans. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />a.) Pizza Hut, 27845 Lorain Road. <br />Mechanical screening plan. <br />No representative present. Plans not reviewed.
