CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />,ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 18, 1985 <br />1. ROLL CAI,L ; <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case and S. Ebin <br />Absent: J. Cavaluchi and R. Mongello <br />Also Present: Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of August 21, 1985 as submitted, seconded <br />by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />a) Marathon Petroleum Co., Lorain and Butternut Ridge Rd. <br />Canopy sign with building plans. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />a) Pizza Hut, 27845 Lorain Rd. • <br />Mechanical screening plan <br />(Requested by the Architectural Board of Review July 17, 1985) <br />(Continued from the Meeting of August 21, 1985) <br />Mr. DeAngelis, representing Pizza Hut, was unfamiliar with the plans.; <br />which shows fencing the mechanicals at grade. It was pointed out that <br />the Planning Commission had required that existing mechanical equipment <br />now on roof of building would have to be screened. Mr. DeAngelis <br />asked that the proposal be continued until he is familiar with what <br />is being proposed. S. Ebin moved to table any action on this item until <br />plans can be resubmitted with complete information, seconded by M. Case, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />a) Forest City Enterprises (Keeva J'. Kekst, Architect), 26185 Great Northern <br />Shopping Center <br />Proposal to construct garden center at rear of store. <br />Mr. G. Dyer, architect, presented revised plans showing new parking plan <br />requested at Planning Commission. Garden center, at rear of store, <br />will have brown facia, roof and posts to match the trim of the building. <br />Area will be enclosed with a chain link fence. Barbed wire is shown <br />on top of fence, this is not permitted by code and Mr. Dyer agreed to <br />eliminate it. Mrs. Case would like to see-some improvement made to <br />the rear of the shopping center. S. Ebin moved to approve the plans <br />as submitted, provided the barbed wire on the fence is eliminated, <br />seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved.
