CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - DECEMBER 18, 1985 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:25 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case and S. Ebin <br />Also Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary <br />Mr. Case advised that Mr. Mongello has resigned and she believes that Mr. <br />Cavaluchi has also resigned. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of November 20, 1985 as submitted, <br />seconded by M. Case, and unanimously,approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />George's Kitchen, 27350 Lorain Rd. <br />Complete sign package must be nresented to the Board when complete. <br />Westin Centre, 30276 Lorain Rd. <br />Building sign approved as presented. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) George's Kitchen (K. Ishikawa), 27350 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct an addition to front of existing restaurant <br />(Heard by Planning Commission December 10, 1985) <br />Mr. Olayas, representing the owner, introduced the new Architect, Mr. <br />K. Ishikawa. It was pointed out that the Building Commissioner had not <br />been able to review the revised plans since he had not been in the office, <br />the Board decided to hear the proposal contingent on the Building Com- <br />missioner's approval. Mr. Ishikawa explained that there would be a <br />560 square foot greenhouse..addition to the front of the existing struc- <br />turn under the present overhang. Original plans submitted to Planning <br />Commission were not correct and existing parking (by actual count) was <br />70 spaces but the new owner is removing 2 spaces for a delivery area, <br />leaving 68 of the original spaces including 2 handicapped spaces, and <br />will be adding 11 spaces and a second access drive off Lorain Road for <br />a total of 79 spacese Mr. Ebin advised that the Planning Commission <br />has been discouraging 2 curb cuts:on Lorain Road. Mr. Ishikawa ex- <br />plained that they did have an alternative plan if curb cut was not <br />approved. Mr. Ebin stated that he had no objection to the second drive, <br />but this was up to the Planning Commission. Landscaping will consist
