r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - JULY 5, 1984 <br />, Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:30 p:m. <br />Law Director M. Gareau administered the oath of office to new member, <br />Jack Helon. <br />Present: R. Bugala, E. Graves, J. Helon, L. Horvath, and C. Remmel <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. Gundy <br />Councilman R. Bierman, and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />Donald and Sandra Johnsori, 3144 Clague Rd. <br />Case continued from meeting of June 6, 1984, heard at end of ineeting. <br />1. Albert Loomis, 27473 Mill Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 270 sq. ft. variance for garage/ <br />patio (property zoned General Retail, however, use is Residential). Vio- <br />lation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. ' <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Loomis. This is a large lot and zoned for general <br />retail. Mr. Loomis stated that patio on garage would not be enclosed. Ex- <br />isting carport will remain. Garage will not be used commercially. L. <br />Horvath moved to grant the variarice, seconded by E. Graves, and unanimously <br />approved: Variance granted. <br />2. Ralph E. Suesse, 28841 Oring Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 12' rear yard variance for patio <br />roof. Vi:olation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Seusse. E. Graves moved to grant the variance, <br />seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />3. Computerland (Simon Sign Co.), 25407 Lorain Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance to install second pole <br />sign on property (pole from former sign existing); also, request variance <br />for encroachment into 3' set back area. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1221.04. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was admiriistered to.Mr. J. Schneider of Simon Sign Co. and Mr. Latham of <br />Computerland who explained that he had an understanding with the owner <br />of the building that this sign would be available when they leased the <br />unit. Mr. Latham asked the Board to consider an alternate request; if <br />they would grant permission to use the pole, Computerland would use only
