<br />CITX OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - FEBRUARY 1, 1984 <br />Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, E. Graves, L. Horvath, and C. Remmel <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. Gundy, and <br />Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />E. Graves moved to accept the Minutes of January 4, 1984 as presented, <br />seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved. <br />Great Northern Properties <br />Chairman Remmel advised that this will be heard after case number one. <br />1. Milton W. Gates, 5813 McKenzie Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 320 sq. ft. variance for garage <br />addition and alteration. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. <br />Also request special permit to add to non-conforming garage. Special per- <br />mission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Gates and.his neighbor, Mr. Zidick. It was pointed <br />out that lot is 112' by 483'. Mr. Gates explained that the two existing <br />sheds on property wi11 be removed and that he must rebuild old portion of <br />garage since it has been damaged by teriutes He wants to raise and add to <br />the end of existing three car garage in order to accomodate a three-quarter <br />ton truck. Mr. Zidick has no objectiori to proposal. It was mentioned <br />that there is a one ton dump truck on property. Mr. Gates stated that he <br />did not alway park that truck on property, it frequently was parked on <br />other property in Cleveland. He was advised that it would be illegal to <br />continue to bring a one ton truck into a residential neighborhood. C. <br />Remmel moved to gI'ant the 320 scj. ft, variance for the garage and also, the <br />special permit to add to non-conforming garage on condition that the two <br />sheds are removed, and that the garage meet all building code requirements, <br />seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Variance and Special <br />permit granted. <br />Great Northern Properties <br />Request for ruling (1133.11). Request ruling if various properties located <br />in an area bounded roughly by Brookpark Rd., Country Club Blvd, 1480, Co= <br />lumbia Rd., and Lorain Rd. are to be considered "through lots" as specified <br />in Ord. 62-33, Section 1125.49. <br />(Continued from the meeting of December 7, 1983 at the request of the appel- <br />ant). <br />Chairman Remmel read a letter from Mr. Richland of Great Northern requesting <br />that this request be withdrawn. In reference to this request, Law Director <br />Gareau advised the Board that there can be a request'for an appeal from a <br />decision of the Building Commissioner which would be covered by Section
