CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - AUGUST 1, 1984 <br />Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, E. Graves, J. Helon, and C. Remmel <br />Absent: L. Horvath <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner Gundy, <br />Councilmen Bierman and 0'Grady, and Recording Secre- <br />tary B. Oring. <br />E. Graves moved to approve the Minutes of July 5, 1984 as published, <br />seconded by J: Helon, and unanimously approved. <br />1. Anthony L. Schade, 4645 Westview Dr. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 20'6" rear yard variance for <br />addition. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01. Also request <br />special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (rear set back). Special <br />permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Schade. It was noted that agenda should be amended <br />to read "request a 20' 6" rear yard varianceā€ž. ce C. Remmel moved to grant cc: This is <br />the 20'6" variance to enable them to have a 14' addition, seconded by a wide lot. <br />R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Variance and special permit granted. <br />2. Tom Kilbane, 4134 Brendan Lane <br />Request for special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (side set <br />back). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. + <br />Chairman Remmel called.all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr: Kilbane and Councilman 0'Grady. It was clarified <br />that this is a corner lot and only a special permit is required. R. <br />Bugala moved to grant the special permit for a non-conforming dwelling, <br />seconded by E. Graves, and unanimously approved. Special permit granted. <br />3. Gerald A. Nobleman, 23968 Amesbury Dr. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request set back variance for swimming <br />pool (10' required from property lines and house). Violation of Ord. <br />62-33, Section 1151.04-L. <br />Chairman Reimmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. & Mrs. Nobelman and Mrs. Hazzard, a neighbor. <br />Mrs. Hazzard is concerned about the noise and the large size of the pool. <br />Board cannot address the noise of the size of the pool, only the location. <br />Mrs. Nobelman did not realize that a pool needed a permit. A letter was <br />submitted from a neighbor, Gloria Dennis, a relative of the Nobelmans, <br />'stating that they had no objections to the pool. Pool is closest to <br />? their property line. C.
