ROLL CALL: <br />CITX 0F NORTH pLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MARCH 13, 1984 <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, J. Roberts, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and T. <br />Morgan. Absent: B. Gorris <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Inspector J. <br />Gibbons, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, Councilmen <br />R. Bierman and ?=a y, aand Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />p A?,c?r,a?.,t w <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Roberts moved to approve the Minutes of February 14, 1984 as submitted, <br />seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Great Northern Shopping Center, Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct addition to westerly side of shopping center. <br />(Withdrawn by developer at meeting of February 14, 1984). <br />(Continued from cancelled meeting of February 28, 1984). <br />Mr. Biskind of Biskind Development Co. presented the revised site plan <br />for the N.T.W. outlet. Plan includes suggestions by Planning Commission <br />at previous meeting: sidewalk has been included along western edge of <br />unit from front of shopping center to rear service road; side service <br />road traffic has been limited to one-way south-bound and will be de- <br />signated as one-way by signage; revised parking plan now shows addition- <br />al parking at front of unit and a small section adjacent to the Community <br />Office Building parking area (eliminating part of landscape island); <br />parking at rear of unit and across rear service road will remain as <br />originally planned. Mr. Burns suggested some type of curbing or island <br />to eliminate wrong way traffic entering side drive. J. Brown moved to <br />ref er the Great Northern Shopping Center (plan dated Feb. 10, 1984) to <br />the Architectural Board of Review, and to the Safety Department for <br />their input with regard to angling of the drive and the island that has <br />been proposed, seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Bryant and Stratton Business Institute, 26700 Brookpark Rd. Ext.. <br />Proposal to construct addition <br />Mr. Hatter of Ray Fogg Building Methods, owner of building and pro- <br />perty, and Mr. Anderson of Bryant and Stratton presented the plans for <br />the 7,500 sq. ft. addition to the rear of the existing structure. Fifty <br />additional parking spaces will be added along the westerly property <br />line, 31 spaces at westerly side of building, and 14 at rear of addition.
