ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. <br />Present: B. Gorris, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and T. Morgan <br />Absent: J. Burns and J. Roberts <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner E. <br />Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />In the Minutes of March 12th it was noted that under Section I, Also present, <br />Councilman Rademaker, not Councilman Grady was present. J. Wixted moved to <br />approve the Minutes of March 13, 1984, as corrected, seconded by E. Traczyk, <br />and unanimously approved. . <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Val-Pak of West Cleveland (Edward J. Newell), 31040 Lorain Rd. <br />Review of site plan and change of occupancy. <br />- (Special permit granted March 7, 1984 by Board of Zoning Appeals). <br />Mr. Newell, owner, and Mr. Wright, contractor, explained the plans to <br />use an existing home for an office; no exterior alterations will be <br />made. Special permit was granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals on <br />March 7, 1984. No signs are planned at present, parking conforms to <br />code. They eventually could expand to about 5 employees. Landscaping <br />will remain as is. B. Gorris moved to approve the change of occupancy <br />and"proposed parking site plan for the Val-Pak parcel located at 31040 <br />Lorain Ro.ad, seconded by J. Wixted, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Bryant and Stratton Business Institute, 26700 Brookpark Rd. Ext. <br />Proposal to construct addition. <br />(Heard by Architectural Board of Review March 21, 1984). <br />Building Commissioner Gundq explained that he is withdrawing the Bryant <br />and Stratton proposal, because he has been informed by Gold Circle that <br />proposal includes property which belongs to them and that they have <br />given no permission for this use. Letter reads as follows: <br />"Re: Gold Circle - Store No. 14, Brookpark Road, North Olmsted, <br />Ohio. Dear Mr. Gundy: Thank you for taking the time to meet <br />with me and Dan 0"Harra on Friday concerning the expansion of <br />the Bryant & Stratton Business Institute located next door to <br />the above-referenced Gold Circle storeo As you know, our inspec- <br />tion of the expansion plans in your office on Friday revealed <br />that the owner of the property (the school's landlord), Ray <br />Fogg Building Methods, Inc., has incorporated with its plan
