ROLL CALL: <br />Vice-Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, B. Gorris, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, and J. Brown <br />Absent: J. Roberts and T. Morgan <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner E. Gundy <br />Assistant City Engieer D. McDermott, Council members Y. <br />Petrigac, R. Tallon, and R. Bierman and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the Minutes of March 27, 1984 as submitted, seconded <br />by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Bob Evans Restaurant, located between the Zayre/Rini stores and the <br />Ponderosa Restaurant/Kings Path Condominium. <br />Proposal to construct restaurant. <br />Commiss'ion questioned if it would be proper to review these plans since <br />rezoning legislation is still being considered. Assistant Law Director <br />Dubelko advised that no official action could be taken at this time, <br />but in order to expedite proposal, it could be referred to the Architec- <br />tural (Board meets once a month and delaying proposal until legislation is <br />voted on would delay approvals in the event rezoning is approved). Mr. <br />Vollman o£ Bob Evans explained the plans for the 149 seat restaurant. <br />There will be 101 parking spaces, handicapped spaces and ramp are included. <br />Trash container will be enclosed with a 6' high masonry wall. Councilman <br />Tallon questioned why handicapped spaces are across the drive from the <br />building. Signage will be submitted to the Architectural Board. Assis- <br />tant City Engineer McDermott stated he had no problems with site plan and <br />that retention system would be required. Neighbors from Ranchview, West <br />Ranchview, and Timber Cove questioned if there were plans for a traffic <br />control light at Ranchview and Lorain, since they cannot get into or out. <br />of their street during peak traffic hours and on Saturday. Mr. Gorris advised that this <br />was not the purview of the Commission and suggested that residents con- <br />tact their council person. He noted that the Commissiori recommends to <br />Council and that Council gives the final approval. B. Gorris moved to <br />forward the Bob Evans proposal to the Architectural Board of Review for <br />their input and to forward on to Engineering to make sure it is in com- <br />pliance there and would like to forward a copy to the Safety Dept. with
