PLANNING COMMISSION JULY 10, 1984 PAGE 2 <br />Wall sign will be aluminum letters and ground sign will be refurbished. <br />J. Burns moved to refer the North Olmsted Veterinary Hospital exterior <br />alteration to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by J. Wixted, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />3), Kacirek Funeral Home, 29060 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct addition. <br />Building Commissioner Gundy advised Mr. Ellis,who represented the owner, <br />that more parking would be required. Thirty six parking spaces are <br />existing and with the proposed addition, 50 will be required. There <br />are g acres of property so this should not be a problem. Addition is <br />on a separate lot and the two lots will have to be assembled. This <br />can be done at the next Planning Commission meeting. Addition will <br />be 1500 square feet and includes a breeze-way, a set up room and a <br />viewing area. Exterior of addition will match existing. J. Wixted <br />moved to refer the Kacirek Funeral Home proposal to construct an ad- <br />dition to the Architectural Board of Review and also that we keep in <br />mind the stipulation that parking must conform to code, and that the <br />combination of the two parcels must be considered before final ap- <br />proval; seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />4) Dunkin Donuts, 26963 Lorain Rd. <br />Exterior renovation to existing doughnut shop. <br />Mr. John Lapish explained that building will be altered to be con- <br />sistant with the Dunkin Donut type architecture. Proposal will include <br />more glass on vestibule and a mansard roof with metal shake shingles. <br />Drive-thru window will be removed, area in front of it will be sodded, <br />and exit drive from it (off Whitethorn) will be used for service <br />trucks only. Driveways on Lorain will remain as is, pole sign will <br />be relocated, and landscaping island around it will be removed. Pres- <br />ent landscaping in other areas will be preserved, if possible, or <br />replaced. Parking conforms. J. Brown moved to refer the Dunkin <br />Donuts exterior alteration to existing doughnut shop at 26963 Lorain <br />Rd. to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by J. Wixted, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />No items. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Chairman Morgan read a copy of the report from Safety Department regarding <br />Laurel's restaurant addition which was sent to BZD Committee. They have <br />no problem with the addition. Councilman Tallon, Chairman of BZD, ad- <br />vised that approvals of the addition are being held up pending research <br />of variances which were thought to have been granted earlier. <br />Invitation from Regional Planning Commission to attend workshop regarding <br />historical districts, to be held on Tuesday, July 24th. Mrs. Brown will <br />try to attend.
