CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - APRIL 18, 1984 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chair.woman Case called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Present:. M. Case and S. Ebin <br />Absent: J. Cavaluchi and R. Mongello <br />Also Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTTON OF MINUTES: <br />? <br />In the Minutes of March 21, 1984 corrections were made on Page 2, Item d, <br />9th line from the bottom to read: '.,'...brown and tan color scheme, and 8th <br />line to read "... blue trizn...". S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes <br />of March 21, 1984 as corrected, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />III. S.IGNS: <br />a) Carpet Barn and Tile House, 28300 Lorain Rd. <br />Wall and pole signs (continued from meeting of March 21, 1984). <br />Wall and pole signs approved as presented (heard under Section IV, para- <br />graph a): <br />b) Bob Evans Restaurant, located east of the Rini/Zayre Shopping Center <br />Wall and _ Pole. signs.., <br />LJall and pole signs approved as presented (heard under Section V, para- <br />graph b. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />a) Carpet Barn and Tile House (Great Northern Construction), 28300 Lorain Rd. <br />Revised mansard as requested by the Architectural Board on Feburuay 1, 1984. <br />R. Carlisle presented'revised mansard plans which now include a vertical <br />panel on lower part of mansard. This panel could accomodate separate <br />signs if building were ever divided into units. S. Ebin moved to ap- <br />prove revised building plans as submitted, seconded by M. Case, and <br />unanimously approved. A representative of G. & L. Sign Co. presented , <br />signs. Pole sign will be of a yellow flexfaced material with black <br />script letters which are laminated to it, trim will be black and pole <br />will be encased in a 12" black boot. S. Ebin moved that the pole and <br />building signs for Carpet Barn and.Tile House be approved as submitted, <br />seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />b) Talan Machine and Tool shop, property west of.31376 Lorain'Rd. <br />- Proposal to construct machine shop. . <br />Mr. Talon presented revised architectural plans. Front elevation of <br />building will be red utility size brick and brown vertical rough sawn
