.7 <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS SEPTEMBER 7, 1983 <br />PAGE 3 <br />8. G. R. Crane, 23790 Frank St. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 22'ifront set back variance <br />for bay window. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1159.01. Also request <br />special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front setback and side <br />yard) for bay window and rear addition. Special permission required Ord. <br />62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel invited all interested to stand before the Board and the <br />oath was given. All members have viewed the site. Mr. Restifo moved to <br />approve the special permit and variance request, seconded by L. Horvath, <br />and unanimously approvedo Variance granted. <br />9. Vito Salvo, 27789 Blossom Blvd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 9' rear yard variance for addition. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01. <br />Chairman Remmel invited a11 interested to stand before the Board and-the <br />oath was given. Board asked disposition of existing patio. Patio will be <br />removed and this room addition will be built in the area vacated. Mr. Graves <br />moved that the variance be approved, seconded by C. Remmel, and unanimously <br />approved. Variance and special permit granted. <br />10. Ponderosa Steak House, 25779 Lorain Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). RequeSt 28 sq. ft, variance for addition <br />to existing pole sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.06. <br />Chaixman Remmel invited all interested to stand before the Boarq and the <br />oath was given. The application was described as 46 sq. ft. existing, <br />proposed reader board installation requires a 28 sq. ft. variance. The <br />temporary sign shown in photographs are not legal. Mr. Restifo made a motion <br />to approve the request, seconded by E. Graves. Roll call on motion: <br />Restifo no. Graves no, Horvath no, Remmel.no, variance denied. <br />11. Dale A. Drottar, 23597 Clifford Dr. <br />Request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front setback). <br />Special permission required by Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel invited a11 interested to stand before the Board and the <br />oath was given. Board questioned platform walkway around the addition. <br />It was determined that this walk will not be in the required setback area. <br />Mr. Remmel moved that the 12 x 14 variance be approved,conditional on the <br />3.5' platform walkway be located on the south and east side only, seconded <br />by E. Graves, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />4. This applicant still not in attendance. Mr. Graves made a motion that this <br />case be continued to next meeting seconded by T. Restifo, and unanimously ap- <br />proved. <br />Mr. Remmel requested a report concerning the Barton Road Morales job. The <br />work to be accomplished includes drive paved, closed fence next to church <br />and finish up. <br />Mr. Remmel also noted possible f ence violations at the following locations: <br />24096 Chase, 24080 Chase and 2 adjacent to these locations.
