.? <br />CITY OF NORT'H OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - JUNE 14, 1983 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, B. Gorris, J. Roberts, J. Wixted, J. Brown <br />and T. Morgan. <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commis- <br />sioner E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D.McDermott <br />Councilman D. Woerpel; and Recording Secretary B. <br />Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Wixted was not present at the meeting of May 24, 1983. <br />J. Brown moved to approve the Minutes of May 24, 1983 as corrected, <br />seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) House of Lights, to be located between 23905 Lorain Rd. (Ohio <br />Bell Telephone) and 24401 Lorain Rd. (Red Lobster) <br />Building Commissioner Gundy explained plans for the 8,000 <br />square foot building for a salesroom and warehouse. The <br />planned 28 parking spaces exceed code requirements by 3 <br />spaces. Rear parking area is for employees only. A reten- <br />tion system will be required and is being planned. Archi- <br />tect. Kla.rhin stated the loading dock is sufficient for type ' <br />vehicles it will accommodate. Fire hydrant will be relocated. <br />Ttao exit/entrance drives are planned. Mr. Kluchin was ad- <br />vised that the leading edge of the pole sign must be 3 feet <br />off sidewalk. Wall sign will be located over canopy. J. <br />Roberts moved to refer the House of Lights proposal to the <br />Architectural Board of Review and to the Safety Department <br />for the review of the traffic flow and to the Engineering <br />Department for review of retention system and drainage, sec- <br />onded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />(1) Tabled at May 24, 1983 meeting <br />Country Club Blvd, median strip cut. <br />Continued until the June 28th meeting at the request of the <br />developer. Report from Safety Department was received and <br />will be discussed under COMM[JNICATIONS.
