? <br />._: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION JULY 26, 1983 <br />4 <br />PAGE 4 <br />parcels, 237-5-11 and 237-5-12, into one (1) lot., seconded by <br />J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />No items <br />VI. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Assistant City Engineer McDermott explained to the Commission that <br />there was some confusion regarding the final plat of Pheasant's Walk <br />subdivision.which is being prepared by an engineer. Council had <br />approved the plat without certain recommendations previously made by <br />Planning Commission and the Commission has never voted on this revised <br />proposal. The final plat will have to be approved by the Coromssion. <br />He questioned if the Commission should vote on the proposal as approved <br />by Council. Mr. Burns asked if the Commission could request that <br />Council should reconsider Planning Commission's recommendations. <br />Assistant Law Director Dubelko stated that the Council is elected by <br />the people and their recommendations are the final determination and <br />the Final Plat must reflect these recommendations. <br />VII. COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Committee studying future land use met with a representative of Regional <br />Planning Commission who summarized nine various parcels which should <br />be studied and will possibly become subject of rezoning requests. Re- <br />gional Planning will make studies of each parcel for $800.00 each if <br />North Olmsted renews its membership with.Regional Planning (membership <br />was dropped in 1980). Planning Commission would like the City to <br />consider rejoining the Regional Planning Commission in 1984. A letter <br />will be drafted requesting this. The next committee meeting will be <br />August 9th at 8:00 p.m. <br />IX.
