ROLL CALL ; <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - OCTOBER 11, 1983 <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, J. Roberts, J. Brown, and T. Morgan <br />B. Gorris arrived at 8:05 p.m. <br />Absent: J. Wixted <br />Also Present; Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Inspector <br />J. Gibbons, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, Safety <br />Director G. Petre, Councilmembers R. Bierman and Y. <br />Petrigac, and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />I.I. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mintues of Septembez 27, 1983 are to be corrected under BUILDING DE- <br />PARTMENT REQUESTS: Item 1 motion was seconded by J. Brown, also line <br />15 should read "...will consult with them...". J. Roberts moved to <br />approve the Minutes of September 27, 1983 as corrected, seconded by <br />J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Chri.st Th.e King Coiumunity, located on the west side of Barton Road <br />between I-480 and the North Olmsted south corporate line. <br />Proposal to construct crosses on Community property. <br />Mr. J. Young of Christ The King explained that the three crosses <br />will be installed on community property and will be seen from I-480. <br />Crosses wi11 be white s-tructural steel, the highest cross will be <br />501 above grade which will be elevated 5' at that point. State <br />has approved location, however, Mr. Young explained that since <br />" this is within North Olmsted corvorate limits, it is actually up <br />to the City to approve location. Mr. Roberts questioned if square <br />footage conformed to the sign ordinance. This has not been figured <br />since the crosses were not construed to be signs. Illumination <br />should not be a problem because of distance away from adjacent <br />dwellingsand because school will eventually be constructed be- <br />. hind crosses. T. Morgan moved to refer the proposal to construct <br />crosses on Chzist The King Community property to the Architectural <br />Board of Review and also request that the Building Department re- <br />view square footage under the sign ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted, seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />(2) Great Northern Corporate Center, located east of Great Northern <br />Blvd and north of Country Club Blvd. <br />? Final plans for phase 1-A of Corporate Center (Development plans <br />approved on September 13, 1983).
