a <br />CITY OF NORTH OI;MSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - JANUARY 19, 1983 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case, J. Cavaluchi, S. Ebin, and R. Mongello <br />Also Present: Councilman D. Woerpel and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF D4INUTES: <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of December 22, 1982 as sub- <br />mitted, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />(a) Medical Emergency Doctors Center, Lorain Rd. (East of Ponderosa) <br />Ground sign and pole sign (shown as ground sign on drawing-will <br />be changed) with building plans. <br />Continued until next meeting. Plans have been changed for one <br />pole sign. No actual copy was availablea See New Business (a). <br />(b) Kovachy Brothers Auto Parts (Sysack Sign Co.), 25044 Lorain Rd. <br />(added to agenda) <br />The wall sign for the east wall was approved by the Architectural <br />Board on September 22, 1982. The sign was installed on the west <br />side of the building. The BZD Committee referred to the Archi- <br />tectural Board of Review for approval of new location. Mr. Ebin <br />read a letter from Sysack Sign Co. explaining that they had orig- <br />inally installed the sign on the east side of the building which <br />is painted concrete block and decided that it was not effective <br />with that background. They then changed it to the west wall of <br />the building wfiich is wood sided. The contractor did not know <br />that he would need additional approvals to change the exact sign <br />to the opposite side of the building. S. Ebin moved to approve : <br />the Kovachy Auto Brothers sign for the west side of the building, <br />seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS: (Heard out of order) <br />(a) Medical Emergency Doctors Center,(R. Kohanski), Lorain Rd. <br />(east of Ponderosa Steak House) <br />Proposal to construct_Emergency.Care Facility-and Medical <br />Office Building. <br />Pertaining to the signs, Mr. Kohanski, the Architect, explained
