a CITY OF NORTH OI;MSTED ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW MINUTES - JANUARY 19, 1983 I. ROLL CALL: Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present: M. Case, J. Cavaluchi, S. Ebin, and R. Mongello Also Present: Councilman D. Woerpel and Recording Secretary B. Oring II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF D4INUTES: S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of December 22, 1982 as sub- mitted, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. III. SIGNS: (a) Medical Emergency Doctors Center, Lorain Rd. (East of Ponderosa) Ground sign and pole sign (shown as ground sign on drawing-will be changed) with building plans. Continued until next meeting. Plans have been changed for one pole sign. No actual copy was availablea See New Business (a). (b) Kovachy Brothers Auto Parts (Sysack Sign Co.), 25044 Lorain Rd. (added to agenda) The wall sign for the east wall was approved by the Architectural Board on September 22, 1982. The sign was installed on the west side of the building. The BZD Committee referred to the Archi- tectural Board of Review for approval of new location. Mr. Ebin read a letter from Sysack Sign Co. explaining that they had orig- inally installed the sign on the east side of the building which is painted concrete block and decided that it was not effective with that background. They then changed it to the west wall of the building wfiich is wood sided. The contractor did not know that he would need additional approvals to change the exact sign to the opposite side of the building. S. Ebin moved to approve : the Kovachy Auto Brothers sign for the west side of the building, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. IV. NEW BUSINESS: (Heard out of order) (a) Medical Emergency Doctors Center,(R. Kohanski), Lorain Rd. (east of Ponderosa Steak House) Proposal to construct_Emergency.Care Facility-and Medical Office Building. Pertaining to the signs, Mr. Kohanski, the Architect, explained
