`- _ ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW OCTOBER 19, 1983 PAGE 2
buildings to alleviate tunnel-like drives which was a concern of
Board previously. Photographs of model were shown and copies will
be stubmitted to the Building Department later. Exterior of
building wi11 be insulated dryvit (sand finish),,tinted glass, and
bronze b'rick installed at lower level. Roofing wi11 be fiherglass,
gravel surface in a light gray. Landscaping will be mounded and
landscape plan and lighting plan will be submitted at a later
date. Mechanical units will be enclosed in dryvit to match build-
ing. Entrance canopies, possibly free standing from building, will
be glass and steel. S. Ebin moved to approve the Great Northern
Corporate Center final plans for phase 1-A as submitted, seconded
by M. Case, and unanimously approved.
(c) Brennan Auto Body, 25044 Lorain Rd.,
Proposal to construct additions to body shop and to Kovachy's
Auto Parts store.
No representative present. Not heard.
(d) Great Northern Dodge (C. T. Taylor), 26100 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct detached building for body shop and
parts store on existing dealership property.
Mr. Taylor explained that this would be a metal building with
high lift doors, with a low profile pitched, ribbed roof. One
stack will be on roof and exhaust will be on the rear wall. Grade
slopes so building will not be visible from Lorain Rd., only from
access road to Recreation Center. No landscaping is planned. Mr.
Nongello feels that there should be some landscaping to screen
from access road. No definite color has been chosen, but Mr.
Taylor thinks that the sand tan color will be most compatible
with existing building. Roof and doors will be white. Mr. Mongello
suggested that since height of doors are different, the doors as well
- as'the frames, gutters, and downspouts, should all be-the same-
eolor. R. Mongello moved to approve.the Great Northern Dodge
proposal with the recommendation that seven, 2" caliber trees be
planted on the east and north area of the gravel parking lot and
that the building all be the same color and the roof will be white,
seconded by S. Ebin, and unanimously approved.
(e) Taco Bell (K. Andrejasik), 24247 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct drive-thru window
Mr. Andrejasik presented the plans for the drive-thru window which
is clear glass with a bronze frame and extends out 15". No struc-
tural changes are necessary. Four parking spaces will be elimin-
ated and drive-thru lane will be installed. Pole sign will not
have to be relocated as originally planned. Drive thru directional
signs, red letters with yello background, will be installed. Sign
contractor will apply for these. S. Ebin moved to approve the
Taco Bell proposal as presented with the understanding that signs
are not being approved, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously ap-
proved.
