v _:

ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW OCTOBER 19, 1983 PAGE 3
(f) Cleveland Tux Shop (J. Raynes), 26261 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to alter existing restaurant for tux shop.
Mr. Kohler, contractor, and J. Raynes, architect, explained re-
vised plans which eliminate pier which was on west side of front
elevation. Brick and windows will remain as is; old siding will
be replaced with a diagonal siding stained with a semi-transparent
light tan color. Existing exterior lights will be removed. Signs
on three walls will be illuminated; east wall sign will not be.
R. Mongello questioned iP signage conformed. One wall sign shows
no copy and wi11 be used to advertise dry cleaning service. R.
Mongello moved to approve the Cleveland Tux plans with all signs
as submitted except blank sign panel for future use subject to
amount of signage meeting the zoning code, seconded by S. Ebin,
and unanimously approved.
(g) Edward J. Flanagan (Mongello and Assoc.), 27712 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct addition to existing buildings.
Mr. K. Leo and Dr. Flanagan explained that both the addition and
the corner building will be sided in heritage blue vinyl; trim
under the eaves will be redwood and painted almond; and trim around
windows and entrance will be painted maroon. Mr. Ebin would like
electric meters now located on side of building moved or concealed.
The architect will study possibility of screening, moving,or per-
haps covering with signage. Northeast wall of upper back porch
will be covered with siding. S. Ebin moved that the Edward J."
Flanagan proposal be approved as submitted with the recommendation
that the electrical service on the east side be relocated or some-
how concealed to be compatible with the new design, seconded by M.
Case. Roll call on motion: Ebin and Case, aye. Mongell, abstained.
(h) Mongello and Associates Office Building (Mongello and Assoc.),
North of the northeast corner of the Lorain/Clague intersection
facing Clague Rd.
Proposal to construct professional office building.
Mr. Leo presented plans and model of building. South and west ex-
terior walls will be jumbo brick in mixed tones similar to Sunoco
station; north and east wall will be "buckwheat" dryvit; wood trim
will be light brown; ashphalt roof will be dark tan; glass will be
tinted. Screening for mechanical units is planned for front of
building. Mr. Ebin suggested screening the mechanicals on the east
and north side to screen from adjacent apartment. He also feels
that the last two parking spaces in the south east corner of parking
area would be inaccessible. He suggested that the trash containers
could be relocated and landscaped area could be recessed to allow
more room for egress. Ground sign will be dryvit finish and wall
signs wi11 be placed on sign panel for each unit. S. Ebin moved
to approve the Mongello Office Building as submitted with under-
standing that the condenser unit be screened on the north and east
