Raynes), 26261 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to alter existing restaurant for tux shop. <br />Mr. Kohler, contractor, and J. Raynes, architect, explained re- <br />vised plans which eliminate pier which was on west side of front <br />elevation. Brick and windows will remain as is; old siding will <br />be replaced with a diagonal siding stained with a semi-transparent <br />light tan color. Existing exterior lights will be removed. Signs <br />on three walls will be illuminated; east wall sign will not be. <br />R. Mongello questioned iP signage conformed. One wall sign shows <br />no copy and wi11 be used to advertise dry cleaning service. R. <br />Mongello moved to approve the Cleveland Tux plans with all signs <br />as submitted except blank sign panel for future use subject to <br />amount of signage meeting the zoning code, seconded by S. Ebin, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />(g) Edward J. Flanagan (Mongello and Assoc.), 27712 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct addition to existing buildings. <br />Mr. K. Leo and Dr. Flanagan explained that both the addition and <br />the corner building will be sided in heritage blue vinyl; trim <br />under the eaves will be redwood and painted almond; and trim around <br />windows and entrance will be painted maroon. Mr. Ebin would like <br />electric meters now located on side of building moved or concealed. <br />The architect will study possibility of screening, moving,or per- <br />haps covering with signage. Northeast wall of upper back porch <br />will be covered with siding. S. Ebin moved that the Edward J." <br />Flanagan proposal be approved as submitted with the recommendation <br />that the electrical service on the east side be relocated or some- <br />how concealed to be compatible with the new design, seconded by M. <br />Case. Roll call on motion: Ebin and Case, aye. Mongell, abstained. <br />(h) Mongello and Associates Office Building (Mongello and Assoc.), <br />North of the northeast corner of the Lorain/Clague intersection <br />facing Clague Rd. <br />Proposal to construct professional office building. <br />Mr. Leo presented plans and model of building. South and west ex- <br />terior walls will be jumbo brick in mixed tones similar to Sunoco <br />station; north and east wall will be "buckwheat" dryvit; wood trim <br />will be light brown; ashphalt roof will be dark tan; glass will be <br />tinted. Screening for mechanical units is planned for front of <br />building. Mr. Ebin suggested screening the mechanicals on the east <br />and north side to screen from adjacent apartment. He also feels <br />that the last two parking spaces in the south east corner of parking <br />area would be inaccessible. He suggested that the trash containers <br />could be relocated and landscaped area could be recessed to allow <br />more room for egress. Ground sign will be dryvit finish and wall <br />signs wi11 be placed on sign panel for each unit. S. Ebin moved <br />to approve the Mongello Office Building as submitted with under- <br />standing that the condenser unit be screened on the north and east
