Mongello abstained. <br />Heard at this point: <br />(a) Med Center (Simon Sign Co.), 25757 Lorain Rd. <br />Pole Sign (Ground sign approved with building plans. <br />No representative present; Board discussed proposal. Ground sign <br />was originally approved, Mr. Ebin and Mr. Mongello believed that <br />ground sign was more appropriate. Mrs. Case stated that she <br />believed that a pole sign would be more visable and more appropri- <br />ate for an emergency center. Mr. Mongello stated that there were <br />no grounds to deny as polesign seein to conform to code. M. Case <br />moved to approve the Med Center pole sign with the condition that <br />the side of the sign be the same blue as the sign and that the <br />pole should be bronze, the faces should be lexan or break resis- <br />tant plastic, and all wiring should be underground, seconded by R. <br />Mongello. Roll call on motion: Case and Mongello, aye. Ebin, nay. <br />The Board requests that the Building Commissioner senri letter to <br />Mr. Richland of Great Northern Partnership regarding screening <br />for Pick and Pay mechanical units which have not been installed <br />as originally approved. <br />Board is questioning if legislation has been drafted by Council to <br />prohibit illuminated poles on pole signs. <br />M.
