ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. <br />Present: T. Morgan, R. Perla, J. Brown, and B. Gorris <br />Absent: J. Burns, J. Roberts, and J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Assistant City <br />Engineer D. McDermott, Assistant Law Director <br />J. Dubelko, and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R. Perla moved to approve the Minutes of March 23, 1982, seconded <br />by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. . <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTTIENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Pick 'n Pay Food Palace, Gre?a???. ?o-rthern Shopping Plaza <br />(north side of main drive,?"of Putt Putt Miniature <br />Golf Course). Proposal to construct grocery store. <br />Building Commissioner E. Gundy advised that this tiuilding <br />will be approximately 40,0 sq. ft. with 303 parking spaces <br />proposed (265 required),^a 5'planting strip off Brookpark Rd. <br />Mr. Richland, Architect for Biskind Development Co., ex- <br />plained that there is a 50' set back and landscaping is <br />planned. The parking is for this area and was not figured <br />into the total needed for the older plaza area. Mr. Richland <br />explained that this location was chosen for the traffic flow <br />to the grocery pick up area and to the exits. The Commission <br />would like imput from the Safety Department regarding the <br />accessibility of Fire and Safety vehicles. R. Perla moved to <br />refer the Pick 'n Pay proposal to the Architectural Board of <br />Review and also to the Safety Department to study the access <br />for safety vehicles, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />(2) Chi Chi's Restaurant, Great Northern Shopping Plaza <br />(north side of main drive, west of Putt Putt Miniature <br />Golf Course). Proposal to construct restaurant. <br />Mr. Gundy explained the parking situation with 75-88 cars on <br />the site and 208 off site easement parking for a total of <br />- approximately 303 spaces (208 spaces required based on sq. <br />footage of the building). The separate leased parking is a
