<br />PLANNING COMMISSION APRIL 27, 1982 PAGE 5 <br />mission had decided not to review the mechanical and light- <br />ing plan for the Pick 'n Pay after the Architectural Board, <br />and that the Architectural Board does not have to review the <br />sidewalk plan which is to be submitted to the Planning Com- <br />mission and that this was done for the benefit of the de- <br />veloper. In order to expediUethis proposal, the Commission <br />agreed to hold a special meeting to review what the devel- <br />opers would be willing to construct for pedestrian access, <br />It was agreed to meet on Monday, May 3rd, at 7:00 p.m. Mr. <br />Richland will notify Mr. Gorris when plans are available. <br />Mr. Gorris will distribute them to the members. J. Roberts <br />moved to continue the Pick 'n Pay and Chi Chi proposals <br />until the gpecial meeting on May 3rd, seconded by B. Gorris, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />(7) National Pride Car Wash, 23560 Lorain Rd. (North side of <br />Lorain Rd., 70' east of Gessner). <br />Proposal to construct self service car wash <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review April 19, 1982. <br />Safety Department report was read stating that, in effect <br />there.wo.uld be no more problems with this development than <br />there are at other existing locations. Mr. Roth of National <br />Pride and the members of the Commission had received copies <br />of the Ordinance regulating hours of operation for self <br />service car washes. It was clarified.that hours of o.per- <br />ation are limited from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. whether the <br />business is attended or unattended. Mr.-Roth agreed that <br />they will conf.orm to the Ordinance. Mr. Roth stated that <br />they are agreeable.to the recommendations of the Architec- <br />tural Board of Review of April 19th. J. Roberts moved to <br />approve the National Pride Car Wash proposal as recommended <br />by the Architectural Board.of Review, seconded.by T. Morgan, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />(1) Dedication Plat for Widening of Lorain ,Rd. (at Root Rd. inter- <br />section); located at the southwest corner of permanent parcel <br />231-33-16, which is the-site of the previously approved Long <br />John Silver Restaurant. Dedication of this small section is <br />-for right-of-way use and future pavement improvement. <br />Assistant City Engineer explained the plat. J. Roberts moved <br />to approve the Dedication Plat for Widening of Lorain Rd. <br />(at Root Rd. intersection); located at the southwest corner <br />of permanent parcel 231-33-16, which is the site of the pre- <br />viously approved Long John Silver Restaurant, seconded by <br />T. Morgan, and unanimously approved."
