Burns, T. Morgan, J. Roberts, R. Perla, J. Prokasy <br />and B. Gorris <br />Absent: J. Brown . <br />-Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Assistant Law <br />Director J..DuBelko, Assistant City Engineer <br />D. McDermott, Councilman R. Wilamosky, and <br />Recording Secretary B. Oring_ <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />T. Morgan corrected the Minutes of April 27, 1982 on Page 4, <br />15th line, change 3rd word "of" to by. J. Roberts moved to <br />approve the Minutes of April 27, 1982 as corrected, seconded <br />J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to erect road signs. <br />The Reverend Cormack, Associate Pastor, stated that because <br />of its location and the surrounding buildings, the church is <br />difficult to see from Lorain Rd. There are three signs to <br />be located on the tree lawns on Lorain Rd. Tao signs to be <br />installed on steel stakes are 24" by 34" and one 12" by 24" ~ <br />sign to be placed on an existing utility pole. It was sug- <br />gested that permission should be obtained from the utility <br />company. These signs are not regulated by the sign ordinance, <br />however, their placement must be approved by Planning Commis- <br />sion and Council. The Commission was in agreement that there <br />is a need for the signs. The Reverend Cormack stated that ? <br />- the church will take responsihility for maintenance. T. <br />Morgan moved that the three signs for John Knox Presbyterian <br />Church be approved subject to review by the Safety Department <br />for placement, seconded by J. Prokasy, and unanimously approved. <br />It was clarified that the signs would be forwarded to the BZD <br />Committee of Council and that the Safety Departments report <br />would be presented to them. <br />(2) Rad Air, 24260 Lorain Rd. _ <br />Proposal for exterior alteration to existing building.
