. -: • <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MAY 25, 1982 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, T. Morgan, J. Roberts, B. Gorris, and <br />J. Brown, R. Perla arrived at 8:05 p.m. <br />Absent: J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building <br />Commissioner E. Gundy,.City Engineer R. Zurawski <br />Councilman D. Woerple and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Burns corrected the Minutes of May 11, 1982: Page 2, Item (4) <br />Sparks Tune Up. Roll call on Motion: Roberts, Morgan, Perla, <br />Prokasy and Gorris, Aye. Burns abstained. T. Morgan moved to <br />approve the Minutes of May 11, 1982 as corrected, seconded by <br />J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />J. Burns moved to approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting of <br />May 3, 1982 as presented, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Signs: (Heard by Architectural Board of Review May 17, 1982.) <br />The signs were studied and discussed with the Minutes of the <br />Architectural Board of Review of May 17th. Building Com- <br />missioner Gundy advised that sigrts (a) and (b) had been re- <br />moved from the Agenda because they were installed before <br />receiving approvals. Regarding Speedy Muffler King, sign (d), <br />Mr. Gundy stated that the extensions of the letters on the <br />mansard had been calculated in the signage originally, and <br />does not exceed the square footage allowed. The sign is <br />non=illuminated. Mr. Gundy stated that he did not consider <br />the circles painted on the doors as part of the signage. The <br />Commission agreed. J J Auto Repair (h) has now been reviewed <br />by the Building Department and conforms to the Ordinance (7' <br />set back is planned). The Commission agrees with the Archi- <br />tectural Board that the telephone number should not be in- <br />cluded on the sign. Leisure Ski, sign (h) conforms to the <br />Ordinances and has been approved by the Building Department. <br />T. Morgan moved that the signs (c)through 0 be approved con- <br />sistant with the recommendations of the Architectural Board <br />of Review with the notation that the Commission does not <br />- feel that the circles on the doors of Speedy Muffler King
