Perla, and unani-
mously approved.
(2) B. S. Shosenburg, 25559 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to convert existing abandoned gas station (Hudson)
to doughnut shop.
Miss B. S. Shosenburg and Mr., D. Price explained that there
would be no major changes to the exterior of the building
which is,glazed tile and no major structural changes other
than cutting a doorway through a block wall. The doughnut
shop will be called Grandma's Rolling Pin, and .there will
be 6 or 7 seats for inside service. Landscaping is planned
and the driveway and parking area will be black topped. The
gas tanks have been removed. The proposal was explained to
Mr. Pfaff, the property owner to the rear and Dr. Jung, who
owns property across the street. Mr. Pfaff stated that he
had no problems with the gas station and is anxious to see
the.property cleaned up. Building Commissioner Gundy advised
Dr."Jung that the parking is adequate. Mr. Pfaff eomp.iaiaed
that there were problems with people congregating behind the
buildings to the east of this and also using that shopping
center as a short cut to Great Northern Blvd. R. Perla .
moved to refer the Grandma's Rolling Pin Doughnut Shop to
the Architectural Board of Review, with the recomnendation
that the Safety Department be made aware of the proposal,
seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved.
(3) J. Friedrich Construction Co., Mastick Rd. Many of the existing trees will remain as a
buffer between the adjacent. properties and along the Brookpark
right-of-way. Mr..Freidrich has not yet contacted the owners
of the condominiums about constructing a fence at each end of
the two garages which will be back-to-back and could present
security problems, but he intends to do so. The Commission
agreed that placing the dumpsters at the southern end of the
garages would be the most convenient location and the least
likely to disturb the residents. The Fire Department had no
objections to the access to'the buildings. J. Brown moved to
approve the J. Freidrich Construction Co. Apartment Complex
proposal on Mastick Rd. with the recommendation that the
dumpster be located at the south end of the garage unit and
