ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, T. Morgan, J. Roberts, J. Brown, and <br />B. Gorris. R. Perla arrived at 9:00 p.m. <br />Absent: J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Assistant Law <br />Director J. Dubelko, Assistant City Engineer <br />D. McDermott, Council members D. Woerpel and <br />Y. Petrigac, and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />IT. RETIIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Brown moved to approve the Minutes of June 10, 1982 as sub- <br />mitted, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Signs (Heard by the Architectural Board of Review 6/16/82) <br />The signs were studied and discussed in conjunction with <br />the Architectural Board of Review Minutes of June 16th. <br />In reference to the Sears Cleaners' sign (c), the Commis- <br />sion is concerned about the possibility of excess signage <br />on the exterior of the mall. It was pointed out that <br />Sears owns the building and leases the property from Great <br />Northern Mall. Regarding Speedy Printing Center.':s wall <br />sign, Mr. Gundy explained that he had no problem with the <br />sign area, however, he had no information regarding the <br />sign below the approved wall sign. T. Morgan.moved to ap- <br />prove signs (a) through (h) with the stipulations as pre- <br />sented in the Architectural Board of Review Minutes of June <br />16, 1982 and it is also to be noted that Planning Commission <br />shares the same concern as the.Architectural Review Board <br />on the placement of signs on the exterior of the Great <br />Northern Mall and recommends that the BZD Committee review <br />the problem, seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />(2) Grandma's Rolling Pin (B. S. Shosenburg), 25559 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to convert existing abandoned gas station to <br />doughnut shop. <br />Heard by the Architectural Board of Review 6/16/82: <br />Mr. Gundy and Ms. Shosenburg presented the plans for the
