a CIT'Y OF NORTH OLMSTED PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 14, 1982 I. ROLL CALL: Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Present: J. Burns, R. Perla, J. Roberts, J. Brown, and B. Gorris T. Morgan arrived at 8:08 p.m: Absent: J. Prokasy Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, Councilmembers D. Woerpel, Y. Petrigac and R. Bierman, R. Parry, Architectural Board of Review Member, and Recording Secretary B. Oring II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: J. Roberts moved to approve the Minutes of July 27, 1982, as sub- mitted, seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: (1) Signs : The signs were studied and discussed in conjunction with the Architectural Board of Review Minutes of August 18, 1982. In reference to sign (d), C. Iiixson, Bob Cutler Signs, advised the Commission that the wiring is already underground and regarding sign (g) that the wiring is.connected to another building on the property and if an agreement cannot be worked out with the_leasee of that building, they would have to dig up 190` of asphalt in order to bring service in from underground. Mr. Hixson thinks the problen can be resolved before the BZD hearing. R. Perla moved to approve the signs (a through g) with the conditions of the Architec- tural Board of Review, seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. (2): Sears Cleaners; 5000 Great,Northern Exterior alteration.to existing Sears Store. Building Commissioner Gundy explained the proposal to convert a small warehouse portion of the existing Sears store to a dry cleaning shop. A door and a window will be added on the east elevation and there will be no access from inside the store. T. Morgan moved to refer the Sears` Cleaners proposal to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved.
