PLANNING COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 14, 1982 PAGE 2 <br />(3) Wendy's Restaurant, 26650 Lorain Rd. , <br />Proposal to install walk-in freezer at rear of build'ing <br />Mr. T. Wilks from Wendy's explained that this.is a 14' x 8' <br />x 8' brown free standing bun freezer and will take up one <br />parking space. These are usually wired from underground. <br />Mr. Gundy explained that parking will still conform. J. <br />Brown moved to approve the walk in freezer with the con- <br />dition that all electrical service be underground, seconded <br />by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />(4) Tupperware Center (Geo. Draeger), located west of 31376 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct Tupperware Center. <br />Architect G. Draeger and Bob Hilsmeier representing Arrow <br />Party Sales introduced the plans for a, 9600.sg. ft: ware= ' <br />house and office building in the Limited Industrial Area. <br />There will be no retail sales at this location. Building <br />Commissioner Gundy stated that 66 parking spaces are required <br />and 137 will be provided; the additional parking is necessary <br />to accomodate parking for sales meetings. The building will <br />be metal with the f rontand part of the west elevation in a <br />brick colonial style. As many of the existing trees as pos- <br />sible will be saved. Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott <br />advised that there are two parcels involved and they would <br />have to be assembled. The plans were explained to the adja- <br />cent neighbors. They were assured that deliveries would be <br />made only between 8:00 a.m. and.4:30 p.m. during the week. <br />Mr. Draeger advised that the lighting had been designed so as <br />not to spill over on the adjacent property. These property <br />owners_requested some type of screening-on the east property <br />line. R. Perla moved to refer the Tupperware Center proposal <br />to the Architectural Board of Review with the notation that <br />the Review Board address the question of retaining as many <br />of the existing trees as possible and the question of screen- <br />_ ing this building f rom the property to the east, and that a <br />review of the plan be made by the Engineering Department, <br />seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />(5) Kovacy Brothers Auto Parts, 25044 Lorain Rd. <br />Store front alteration <br />H. Sysack explained that charcoal gray rough sawn cedar will <br />be applied to the front of the building and a cape cod gray <br />panel will be installed across the front with red letters for <br />the sign. The east elevation will be painted to match and <br />will also have a sign in red, and the top brick of the west <br />elevation will be painted and the lower portion will be rough <br />sawn cedar and will cover two existing garage doors (one door <br />will remain). Parking conforms to code. J. Roberts moved to <br />refer the Kovatchy BrotYiers'-- proposal. -to the Architectural: Board of Review;' seconded by T. Morgan;:'and una.nimously approved.
