Bender) <br />29734 and 29756 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal for two addit'ions for Grou?g'.:Family Homes for Retarded <br />Mr. A. Bender, Architect, explained the house additions. The <br />house at 29734 on the east is brick, an existing porch will <br />be removed; the addition will contain 3 bedroom,a bath, and <br />a family room, and will be aluminum sided in white to match <br />trim of house, and will be roofed to match the existing roof. <br />The appearance of the home will not be changed from the street. <br />The house at 29756 Lorain is white clap board, the addition <br />and house will be sided and totally re-roofed, the existing <br />garage will be converted into a large dining room, and a new <br />garage will be added to the front, 4 bedrooms, 2 large baths, <br />and a great room will be added to the rear. The adjacent <br />neighbors, the Steers and the Szarkas, objected to the prox- <br />imity of these houses to their homes. The Board believed <br />that if both additions were moved over from the east and <br />west property lines and windows moved so that fewer faced <br />the property lines, and a fence were added that would help to <br />seclude the properties and alleviate some of the neighbors' <br />fears. This would also protect the homes, when at a later <br />date,the adjacent properties would no longer be residential. <br />R. Parry moved to approve the architectural design with the <br />following recommendations: that the new frame addition to <br />the house at 29734 Lorain be moved west approximately 4 to <br />5' to create an off set with the brick existing building <br />and recommend that the addition to the property at 29756 <br />(the frame house) be moved to the east approximately 18' to <br />be in line with the easterly wall of the original building <br />and that the windows of the dining room be put on the north <br />face of the building and the window of the northwest bed- <br />room be put on the north face of the new addition, and <br />that there be fencing of 6' or the maximum height allowed on <br />the far westerly line and the far easterly line, seconded by <br />S. Ebin. Roll call on motion: Parry and Ebin, aye. Case, <br />nay. M. Case!moved to::request that Planning Commission• <br />resubmit the revised building plans to this Board and also <br />request that the location of the fence be shown, seconded <br />by S. Ebin, and unanimously approved. <br />Because Mr. Mongello is unable to attend these meetings on Monday <br />evenings, the Board agreed to meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. <br />VI.
