Proposal for two addit'ions for Grou?g'.:Family Homes for Retarded Mr. A. Bender, Architect, explained the house additions. The house at 29734 on the east is brick, an existing porch will be removed; the addition will contain 3 bedroom,a bath, and a family room, and will be aluminum sided in white to match trim of house, and will be roofed to match the existing roof. The appearance of the home will not be changed from the street. The house at 29756 Lorain is white clap board, the addition and house will be sided and totally re-roofed, the existing garage will be converted into a large dining room, and a new garage will be added to the front, 4 bedrooms, 2 large baths, and a great room will be added to the rear. The adjacent neighbors, the Steers and the Szarkas, objected to the prox- imity of these houses to their homes. The Board believed that if both additions were moved over from the east and west property lines and windows moved so that fewer faced the property lines, and a fence were added that would help to seclude the properties and alleviate some of the neighbors' fears. This would also protect the homes, when at a later date,the adjacent properties would no longer be residential. R. Parry moved to approve the architectural design with the following recommendations: that the new frame addition to the house at 29734 Lorain be moved west approximately 4 to 5' to create an off set with the brick existing building and recommend that the addition to the property at 29756 (the frame house) be moved to the east approximately 18' to be in line with the easterly wall of the original building and that the windows of the dining room be put on the north face of the building and the window of the northwest bed- room be put on the north face of the new addition, and that there be fencing of 6' or the maximum height allowed on the far westerly line and the far easterly line, seconded by S. Ebin. Roll call on motion: Parry and Ebin, aye. Case, nay. M. Case!moved to::request that Planning Commission• resubmit the revised building plans to this Board and also request that the location of the fence be shown, seconded by S. Ebin, and unanimously approved. Because Mr. Mongello is unable to attend these meetings on Monday evenings, the Board agreed to meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. VI.
