The Board believed that tliere was an existing pole sign
on the property and would like the Building Department to
check into it.
IV. OLD BUSINESS:
(a) William Given Warehouse, 30948 Bradley Rd. (Tabled July 21, 1982)
Proposal to construct warehouse in Limited Industry Area.
Lxhiblts: Delivered for July Meeting
Heard by Planning Commission July 27, 1982.
Mr. Given explained that he had originally planned to have a
concrete block building, however, concrete block is not an
approved material for exterior walls and the Board of Building
Code Appeals had recommended using Svet split block. Be-
cause of the additional expense of the split block, Mr. Given
now plans to cover the block with Texture 111 vertical siding
with horizontal lap siding on the gables; 2` of the concrete
will be exposed'at the foundation. His plans do not reflect
these changes and there is no color rendering of the building.
The Board would prefer that the block not be exposed at the
foundation. After a brief discussion, M. Case moved to ap-
prove the Given Warehouse plans as explained by Mr. Given:
The building will be concrete block, covered with texture 111
in dark brown, with horizontal lap siding on the gabled ends,
and horizontal trim boards at the top, at the middle seam, at
the bottom, and at the corners; 2' of the concrete block will
be exposed at the foundation and will be painted to match the
hui l.(l [.n};, tlie two c>verheacl door5 and the two pedestrian doors
will be dark brown; rind Uie, cl.n'lc l)rOwn f;uLLur.S wil.L I)e. p.Lauud
on a minimum 6" facia board (with proper slope), seconded by
R.
