u
,
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MAY 6, 1981 PAGE 4
10. Mr. & Mrs. DeSalvo, 4666 Brendan Circle
Request for variance (1133.13). Request l' variance for fence.
Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04H
Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board.
The oath was administered. The appellants produced an ammended
siteplan. D. Ledvina asked that the request be clarified to
? show that the fence._is to extend from both sidesof the house
east and west on a line continuing the rear residence line and
for a short distance on the east side coming up to abutt the
f ence bordering on 1480 and on the west side of the property continuing along the property line to.the southern most point of
the property. This will be a board on board fence. They are
planning to put in a pool eventually and it was observed that
they abutt several rear yards. C. Remmel moved to grant the
variance, seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved.
Variance granted.
11. Christian Science Society of North Olmsted, 27573 Butternut Ridge Rd.
Request for variance (1133.13). Request Special Permit for
Christian Science facility in residentia_1 area. Special permis-
sion required Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.01E.
Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board.
The oath was administered. This property is a former residence
which was used for the School Board Offices and has now been re-
stored as a residence. Mrs. L. White, representing the Society,
explained that the only exterior alterations would be enclosing
the front porch with windows. The building would only be used
one or 2eveniag,s a week and at present there were only about
20 members in the congregation, and when the membership grew
they would be constructing their own building. There is no
room for expansion at this location, and there is parking for
about 15 to 25 cars. The request was explained to the neighbors.
Mr. Gareau explained that if this property was sold to another
church, that the new congregation would have to apply for another
Special Permit. Since there-are all ready serious traffic-p.ro-
blems at this corner because.of the school activities, the neighbors
think that the evening meeting will create a worse situation.
The parking lot will be adjacent to a residential property and
there is little room for screening. W. Wasniak moved to grant the
Special Permit, seconded by D. Ledvina. Roll Call on Motion:
W. Wasniak, D. Ledvina, C. Remmel, and L. Horvath, Nay. Motion
failed to pass. Special Permit denied.
Mr. Remmel suggested that some publicity should be sent to the
local newspapers that permits are necessary for fences, tool
sheds, additions, etc.
The Meetj.i}g was _adjou
.z'6eci?'at 9:00 p.m.
D.
B. Oring, RLIcording Secretary
