a <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - FEBRUARY 10, 1981 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gorris called the Meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, T. Morgan, R. Perla, J. Prokasy, J. Roberts, <br />J. Brown, and B. Gorris. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Gundy, Assistant City <br />Engineer D. McDermott, Assistant Law Director <br />D. Ryan, Councilman R. Wilomosky, and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R. Perla moved to approve the Minutes of January 27, 1981 as <br />submitted, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Referred from Architectural Board of Review on January 19, 1981. <br />Ashland Oil Co. (Red Head Gas Station), 27447 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct canopy and new pump island at existing <br />gas station. Variance granted December 3, 1980. <br />Mr. L. Schuette of Ashland.0il presented the plans and ex- <br />plained that they will be conforming to the requirements of <br />the Board of Zoning Appeals, but that the company prefers <br />not to eliminate the black feature stripe as recommended by <br />the Architectural Board of Review. T. Morgan moved that the <br />proposal to construct the new canopy and pump island at the <br />existing Red Head Gas station be approved consistant with <br />the recommendations of the Architectural Board of Review in <br />that either the feature black stripe will be painted white <br />or that the canopy will be slate gray and the roof line of <br />the existing building will also be slate gray, and also <br />that the 6' by 8' pole sign as indicated on the plans will <br />be approved, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. <br />(2) Honda Yamaha (John Bryan), 28436 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct building for dealership. <br />The Assembly Plat (Item (1) NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS) <br />was reviewed first.
