Mrs. Biemel stated that this is a dan- <br />ger-ous intersection, and there have been accidents on her front <br />lawn. She is requesting a guard rail in front of her property <br />which is across from Brookpark Extension., J. Prokasy moved to <br />approve the DeBenedetto Subdivision at Dover Center Road and <br />Brookpark Road Extension as presented noting that the additional <br />right-of-way at the intersection of Dover Center and Brookpark <br />Extension and at Sparky Lane and Brookpark Road Extension is <br />included. The Commission would also like to request that the <br />Safety Director and the Chairman of the Safety Committee of <br />Council investigate the situation with Mrs. Biemel on Dover <br />Center Road directly oppositPSublot 1 of the DeBenedetto Sub- <br />division concerning her complaints about a potential traffic <br />hazard coming into her front yard and she is requesting some <br />sort of traffic-barrier, seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />No Items <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Chairman Gorris introduced representatives of the League of <br />Women Voters who are requesting information for a report of <br />the zoning and planned development of North Olmsted and, in <br />particular, the Industrial Park and the former Master Plan. <br />The Commission detailed the functions of the various boards <br />and departments of the City, the limitations imposed on the <br />City by law and offered some suggestions for improvements <br />in the function of the Planning Commission and explained <br />some of the past accomplishments of the City organizations. <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Chairman Gorris entered into the record the letter from <br />Planning Commission to North Olmsted City Council protesting <br />platting approval by Council prior to submission to Planning <br />Commission. <br />VIII. COMMITTEE REPORT.S: <br />J. Roberts moved to bring Ord. 81-21 and 81-22 out of Committee, <br />seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved.
