BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS:
(1) Signs:
The signs were studied and discussed in conjunction with
the Architectural Board of Review Minutes of March 16, 1981.
R. Bugala moved to approve signs a through f consistant
with the Minutes of the Architectural Board of review of
March 16, 1981, seconded by R. Perla, and unanimously
approved.
(g) Great Northern Shopping Center, Lorain Rd. Entrance,
Sign and Landscape Feature
R. Wytowitz, Great Northern Mall, explained the plans
for the sign and landscape feature which is to be used to
direct the flow of traffic entering and leaving Great
Northern Shopping Center at Lorain Road. Temporary
barricades erected at this point have effectively diverted
traffic. On March 16, 1981, the Architectural Board of
Review approved the sign but had requested that the land-
scape plan be submitted at a later date. The Commission
felt that the Safety Director should review the traffic
pattern. T. Morgan moved that the Great Northern Facia
Sign be approved as submitted and that the Safety Depart-
ment be requested to analyze the traffic flow patterns
which will result prior to the landscaping being submitted
to the Architectural Board of Review since the landscaping
will of course, take the configuration of the direction of
the traffic of that area, seconded by R. Bugala, and unani-
mously approved.
