.. .
? r,-
PLANNING COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 8, 1981 PAGE 4
complex would not be started for several years and this would
be requested at this time. The Commission has concerns regarding
the present deteriorating condition of Country Club Blvd. and the
" additional.traffic which will be created throughout the ar.ea. A
traffic study by W. Jackman had been submitted wi_th the plans.,
The Commission had not received this prior to the meeting and
they were not able to study it comprehensively at this time. It
was pointed out by Mr. Biskind that the complex was to be de-
veloped over a period of years, and that there were several
options for traffic control which could be restudied with the
development of the complex. R. Bugala moved to recommend that
, the detailed site plan for the Great Northern Corporate Center
(Phase I) be submitted to the Council and that comments and
reports from the Enbineering Department and from the Satety
Director be made to Council (and copies sent to Planning Com-
mission):on the traffic engineering study and analysis, with
reservations as to the advisability of the access to Brookpark
Road as long as it remains a limited access highway, seconded
by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. I
(6) Church of St. Clarence, 30337 Lorain Rd.
Detailed plans for construction of Phase I. (Preliminary Plans
and parking lot approved by Planning Commission October 28, 1980)
T. Quinn, contractor for the Church, explained that this first
phase is for a two story all purpose bui.lding which will serve
as a church on Sunday, a bingo hall, and an activity center. Due
to financial problems the brick veneer will not be installed at
this time. The building will be a metal building with two brick
panels in the front wall. T. Morgan moved to refer the detailed
plans for Phase I for the Church of St. Clarence to the Archi-
tectural Board of Review for their comments and recommendations,
seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved.
(7) Taco Bell Restaurant, 24247 Lorain Rd.
Proposal to construct drive-thru window
After a brief examination of the plans, it was discovered that
the addition was in violation of the Zoning Codes and would need
a variance. The developers'withdrew the proposal.
IV.
