Mro Williams also suggested a"hix yew, arborvitae,
taxus cuspadate or-some type of upright yew for the living hedge.
The lighting will be a HPS light or mercury vapor. The new entrance
will have a bracket light. Mr. Moore had pictures of the type of
lighting fixtures but no actual lighting plan. Mr. Parry felt that
the Board should have more information on the Architectural Plans
such as: roof vents, gutters, lighting, foundation, and grading.
D. Williams moved to table based upon the submittal of more de-
tailed plans: 1) an engineered site plan with redesigned parking
lot recommending a 622 ft total bay, with 9' stalls, so that cars
can enter and leave the p arking lot in a continuous fo naard motion
2) a landscaping plan be resubmitted of which certain comments
were made ime., replace the Japanese holly with the cranberry
cotoneaster and a white flowering dogwood immediately adjacent
to the front of the builcLing, suggest a shade tree at the west
corner of the b uilding 30 the front doorway should be recessed
approximately 2' 4) submit a plan which indicates the location of
lighting fixtures and the type of lighting 5) the screening hedge
(required by the Board of Zoning Appeals) should be more carefully
plotted with what's exis ting on the site and showing where the
existing trees are located, seconded by C. Petroski, and unanimously
approved. Mr. Moore stated that he had submitted what was called
for by the Architectural Board of Review as indicated by the check
list he was given, and that he was unaware that detailed plans
were required at this time.
V. The plans were studied and discussed. R. P arry moved to
approve the plans with the following recommendations: Mechanicals
and flashing be painted brown or neutral to match the building
materials 2) add either f our concrete tire stops out 2' from curb
or extend sideivalk to 5' at the 4 spaces on the south side of the
building 3) That the 13 parking spaces on the west side of the
property be moved no less than 3' north so that there would be no
less than a 3' island or else require that Planning Commission
grant a variance to delete the last Southwest parking space 4)
Landscaping: around the building instead of grass, ground cover
should be used underneath the shrubs, wood chips with plastic
mulch, and replace the one Austrian Pine with a verticle type white
flowering tree, such as a white dogwood, and replace the two thornus
locus with a low growing flowering tree, seconded by M. Case, and
unanimously approved.
The meeting was adj ourned at 9: 35 p. m.
R. Parry, Chairman B. Oring, Recording Secretary
