The architectural detail
could then be at the corners instead of the front of the
building. There should be places for bike racks on both sides
of the b uilding. It was suggested that the dumpster be re-
located to the north westcornerand the drive behind the
building be eliminated. The parking lot should be redesigned
and splayed. Ther exterior lighting will be sodium lights
directed down toward the parking area. These lights could be
shaded if they shine off the property. R. Parry moved to
reserve final approval of the Architectural details and make
the following recommendations:
1. Redesign the portico and extend the canopy along the
entire east side of the building, with corner porticos
on both the north east and south east building corners.
2. Widen the sidewalk along the east side of the building
to either match the canopy to be approximately 6' to
8' wide and wrap around the north east and south east
corners.
3. Put parking islands or stripe the end of parking isles
adjacent to the building, splay any of the curbs into
the last parking space wherever that occurs.
4. Remove the driveway behind the building and locate
dumpster and screening. of the dumpster.
5. Provide bikeracks at either end of building.
6. Provi.de a final landscape plan including potential
alternates to any exis ting trees that may die during
construction. 0
7. Resubmit the final plans to indicate how canopy is to
be designed.
8. Submit signage plan.
Seconded by D. Williams. C. Petroski abstained.
VI.
