Based on surveys of other skating rinks, the Developers are req:uesting that the parking area be re- duced to approximately 200 spaces (in the front area) and later if it is deemed necessary the additional 141 spaces in the rear area will be added. It was explained by Mr. Butkiewicz that the Safety Director prefers that the Lorain Rd. entrance be omitted and the Police Chief prefers that the Mill Rd. exit and entrance be omitted. The number of parking spaces and the questions on the exits and entrances are not the province of this Board. It was suggested by the Board that the bike rack be relocated to the side portico area, that the pin oaks on the Landscape plan be replaced with red oaks or locust trees, mass the burning bush and forsythia (do not alternate),, R. Parry moved to approve the plan with the following recom- mendations 1) the last parking spaces to any curbed parking bay should be splayed, 2) the bike racks be relocated to the northeast and southeast landscaped pennisula area 3) remove the 4 potted honey locust 5) reduce the drive along the side of the building by approximately 6' adding that into landscaping on the ease side of the lot line, 6) instead of alternating the buring bush and forsythia, group them (group of burning bush and group of forsythia) 7. replace the pin oak with red oak, honey locus or little leaf linden, seconded by D.
