A
w
ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW DECEPZBER 15, 1980 PAGE 2
V. NEW BUSINESS:
(a) Great Northern Auto Service (N. E. Del Giudice Assoc.),
26674 Lorain Rd.
This addition will be attached to the north end of the
existing garage and will be constructed of the same
materials. There will be a fenced in area to contain
automobiles which is to be lighted by an existing pole
light. R. Parry asked Planning Commission to note that
the parking spaces on the extreme north are in front of
the garage doors and that these could not be considered
permanent parking spaces, especially if needed for parking
requirements. Any ventilation will be carried out through
the roof. Mr. Petroski requested that the exhaust system
be verified. Since the fenced in area for dismantled cars
is visible from Sparky Lane, Mr. Petroski suggested using
a perforated mesh in a diamond pattern, like boberik,
which can be painted and can be installed the same as a
chain link f.ence in vertical sections, but will provide
better screening. A bumper guard should also be installed
inside this fence. Sigpage on the north side of the build=
ing will be removed. C. Petroski moved to approve the
plans with the following conditions: 1) Signage on the
north side of the building is to be removed and not re-
installed without proper approvals, 2) Instead of a 6'
chain link fence, use an expanded metal mesh such as
boberick- which is to be painted to match the building ma--
terial; and also apply on the inside of that some kind of
bumper guard, seconded by R. Parry, and unanimously approved.
(b) Manor Care Nursing_ Home (tiJ. R. Davison), 23225 Lorain Rd.
Mr. H. Hall, Architect, explained the lounW addition pro-
posal which will match the existing brick and will have
somewhat of a greenhouse effect. There will be a flat
roof and the downspouts will be painted to match the brick.
C. Petroski moved to approve the plans as submitted, seconded
by R. Parry, and unanimously approved.
(c) West Shore Cable T.V. (Lipaj-Tomsik), North Olmsted
Recreation Center
Mr. T. Tomsek, Architect, presented the plans for the
addition to the recreation center.which wi11 harmonize
with the present building. The glass will be tinted, and
any disturbed landscaping will be replanted. There is no
signage planned at present. Mr. Parry suggested that a
security system be installed. C. Petroski moved to approve
the plans as presented, seconded by R.. Parry, and unanimously
approved.
IX.
