? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - OCTOBER 1, 1980 <br />Chairman Ledvina called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: D. Ledvina, C. Remmel, L. Aorvath, E. DeVoto, aaiqo, <br />C'L??-clifv? W. Wasniak. <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. <br />Gundy, and Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />C. Remmel moved to approve the Minutes of 9/3/80 as submitted, <br />seconded by L. Horvath; and unanimously approved. <br />1. North Olmsted Friends Church, 25376 Butternut R.idge Rd. <br />, Request for variance (1133.13). Request extension of time to <br />pave parking lot. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1213.04. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. <br />The oath was administered. Mr. Anderson representing the church <br />explained that the contract had now been signed and the request <br />was being withdrawn. Law Director M. Gareau explained that since <br />--? the church is now in violation of the Ordinance a variance is <br />still necessary. E. DeVoto moved to grant the variance for 60 <br />days conditioned on a proper permit being granted, seconded by L. <br />-" Horvath, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />2. Edward J. Martynowski, 24976 Chase Dr. <br />? Request for variance (1133.13). Request 3.5' total sideyard <br />variance for attached garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1161.01. Also request 3.5' variance distance between dwellings. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1161.01. Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. <br />The oath was administered. Chairman Ledvina.advised that the <br />adjacent neighbor objects to the variance. Mr. Remmel observed <br />that there is enough room in the back for a detached garage and <br />since there is a 2' overhang on the adjacent house it would <br />create a crowded conditione Mr. Martynowski stated than an at- <br />tached garage would provide insulation and that it would be dif- <br />ficult to build a detached garage due to a drainage problem in <br />the rear yard. C. Remmel moved.to grant the variance, seconded <br />by L. Horvath. Roll call on motion: Horvath and DeVoto, Yea. <br />Remmel and.Ledvina, Nay. Variance denied. <br /> <br />- 1__/ -.1
