/ ` . <br />0 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 3, 1980 <br />Chairman Ledvina called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: D. Ledvina, L. Horvath, C. Remmel, and W. Wasniak <br />Absent: E. DeVoto <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Law Director M. Gareau, <br />and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />C. Remmel moved to approve the Minutes of July 2, 1980 as submitted, <br />seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved. <br />Minutes of the Special Meeting of July 16,- 1980 should be corrected to <br />show Mr. L. Horvath as present. <br />L. Horvath moved to approve the minutes as corrected, seconded by C. <br />Remmel, and unanimously approved. <br />In reference to the West Haven Foundation for the Retarded request for <br />variance for Home for mentally retarded in a Single Family Area, Chairman <br />Ledvina stated that at the Special Meeting of July 16, 1980 the Board had <br />ruled that a variance shall not be granted. <br />1. Frank Finlin 3387 Hunter Dr. <br />Request for Variance. Request 3' height variance for hedge. Violation <br />of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04 Para (H). <br />Request withdrawn by appellant. <br />2. Dennis V. Sheppard, Permanent Parcel #235-16-10, located north of 5476 <br />Fitch Rd. on West side of street. <br />, Request for variance (1133.13). Request 1' sideyard variance and 1' <br />total sideyard variance. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1161-'01. <br />Request 16' front set back variance. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1159.01. Request 56 sq. ft. variance. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1153.01. (Permission to build on a 50' lot was granted by Board of <br />Building Code Appeals on July 24, 1980). <br />Chairman I.edvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. The appellant withdrew the request for the 16' front <br />set back variance. It was felt by the Board that the minimum 5' side yard <br />set back should be maintained on the north side of the property and that the <br />1' variance should be on the south side. C. Remmel moved to grant the <br />variance for a 1' total side yard variance with a minimum of 5' on the north <br />side of the property and 9' on the south side and the 54 square foot vari- <br />ance for the house, seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved. <br />Variances granted.
