0
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS SEPTEMBER 3, 1980 PAGE 2
?
/3. Union Commerce Bank (Brilliant Electric Signs), 23100 Lorain Rd.,
Request for variance (1133.13). Request 24 sq. ft. variance for pole
sign (two signs on one pole). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1225.02.
Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The
oath was administered. Since the existing pole sign was only 45 square
feet the request was amended for a 19 sq. ft. variance. Chairman
Ledvina explained that this variance is necessary in order to put two
signs on one pole, but that under the present Ordinance no variance
would be necessary if a separate pole sign were installed. The neighbors
preferred both signs on one pole. C. Remmel moved to grant the 19
square foot variance for the second sign on an existing pole, seconded by
L. Horvath and unanimously approved. Variance granted. 4. Richard T. Lind, 26074 Tallwood Dr.
Request for Variance (1133.13). Request 38° variance for length of
privacy screen. Violation of Orde 62-33, Section 1151.04 (G).
Chairman Ledvina.called all interested parties before the Board. The
oath was administered. This privacy screen is only around the patio
area and could not be considered a fence. L. Horvath moved to grant the
variance, seconded by W. Wasniak, and unanimously approved. Variance
granted.
5. Thomas L. Hirz, 24233 Noreen Dr.
Request for variance (1133.13). Request 13' rear yard variance for ad-
dition. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01.
Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The
oath was administered. It was noted that the yard behind this property
is approximately 75' deep and that the adjacent neighbor has.an elevated
deck that extends as far out into the rear set back as the addition will.
L. Horvath moved to grant the variance, seconded by W. Wasniak, and
unanimously approved. Variance granted.
6. Alan Scot Davis, 28933 Tudor
Request for variance (1133.13). Request 18" variance for fence in front
of rear building line. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04.
.
Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The
oath was administered. It was explained that this is a corner lot and
the variance is for the portion of the chain Iink fence in front of the
rear building line to enclose patio within the back yard fenced in area
so that the children could use the patio door for access to the back
yard. It was explained to the neighbors that the fence by Ordinance had
to be 90% open so a solid fence, which"they would prefer, could not be
installed., L.. Horvath moved to grant the'variance, seconded by W. Wasniak,
and unanimously:approved'.- .Variance granted.
