B'OARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />JULY 2, 19 80 <br />PAGE 2 <br />. Gareau advised that this could be granted as a special permit with an <br />expiration date. D. Ledvina moved to grant a Special Permit to allow <br />the boats on the vacant lot through September of 1981, seconded by <br />E. DeVoto, and Ananimously approved. <br />?Shell Oil Co, 23385 Lorain Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 13 sq. ft. variance for sign. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1225.02. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. The Board was not favorable to granting this <br />because in effect,they were granting a 63 sq. ft, pole sign, and felt <br />that initially Shell Oil shoud have planned for such a reader board <br />when the original was applied for. The appellant suggested that he <br />could remove the "self-serve" portion of the original sign and would <br />then request a variance of 4 sq. ft. E..DeVoto moved to grant the 4 Sq. Ft. <br />variance with the condition that the "self serve" portion of the present <br />sign is removed and that the reader board is raised to 10' off the groLmd, <br />seconded by C. Remmel, and unanimously approved. <br />6. Elmer V. Stonebrook, 5693 So. Porter Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 7' variance for distance between <br />house and garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04.(C). <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administeredm Chairman Ledvina advised that the agenda should <br />be amended to include a 13.2' rear yard variance. Violation of Ord. <br />62-33, Section 1163.01. L. Horvath moved to grant the variances, <br />seconded by W. Wasniak. Roll Call on Motion: Messrs. Horvath, Wasniak, <br />Remmel, and DeVoto, aye. Mr. Ledvina, nay. <br />7. Christian S. Perry, 6220 Barton Rd. \ <br />J Request for variance (1133.13)e Request 1'1" height variance for fence <br />in front set back. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. Again this is a split rail fence with 2 railso <br />E. DeVoto moved to grant the variance, seconded by C. Remmel, and unani- <br />mously approved. <br />8. Donald and Carole Van Orman, 24557 Mitchell Dr. <br />J Reques t for variance (1133.13). Request variance to house 2 rabbits and <br />2 guiena pigs less than 200° from adjacent dwellings. Violation of <br />Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04 (Para. E.) <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />dath was administered. It was explained that the request is only for <br />the remaining life of the 2 guiena pigs and 2 rabbits possibly for 3 <br />to 5 years. E. DeVoto moved to grant the variance to maintain the . <br />structures as they are for 2 years. from this date and -then, if xiecessary, <br />the appellant can return for an extension, seconded by C.
