COMMUNICATIONS:
North Olmsted-Fairview Park Library invitation for a panel disussion
"PLANNING COMMUNITY APPEARANCE: VANITY OR SANITY?", on Tuesday,
April 29th at 7:30 pmm, at the North Olmsted Library.
VI. Perla, and unanimously approved. This is an ordin-
ance ammending the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted by ad-
ding thereto a new Section 1174.10 entitled "Regulations Regarding
the Installation of Outdoor Telephone Pay Stations" of Chapter 1147
entitled "Height and Area Regulations for Retail Business Districts".
The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a b uilding code for
the installation of telephone booths either free standing or attached
to b uildings. This Ord. requires that such structures shall not be
permitted within the first twenty-five feet of the setback and shall
not be constructed closer than five feet from the side yard of any
lot, and that 2 parking spaces must be provided for each telephone.
No such structure can be attached to an exi.sting building or installed
until the applicant has filed the proper application for a building
permit, together with a signed and notorized document from the pro-
perty owner that the applicant has permission to install the structure.
Councilman Wilamosky, who introduced the legislation, explained that
the number of telephone boths are increasing in the City, many of them
have no parking facilities, and that the City has no control over
their installationo There are telephone structures which are pro-
jecting over the sidewalk and within inches from the curb which are
safety hazzards. T. Morgan moved that Ord. 80-39 be accepted as pre-
sented, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved.
IX. ADJOURNMENT:
B. Gorris moved to excuse the absence of J. Prokasy, seconded by
J. Roberts, and unanimously approved.
B. Gorris moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by J. Brown, and
unanimously approved.

R. Bugala, Chairman ?? B. Oring, Recor?ling Secretary
