Miss Leah Nowlan, representing the neighbors who are appealing the Board of Zoning Appeals decision to grant the Special Permit to construct the gar- age, explained their request to have the garage placed on the north section of the property where there are plans for future expansion. The garage could then be incorporated into the addition at a later date. The Architectural Board of Review had approved the garage with the recommen- dation that the structure be moved 40' to the west of the proposed location. It was Miss Nowlan's contention that it would be imsafe to place the structure so close to the drain- age creek since the bank is eroding. Assistant Law Director D. Ryan advised that the Architectural Board of Review can- not recommend moving the structure since the Board of Zoning Appeals had grante d the Special Permit for the orginally proposed location. He added that the Planning Commission could not refer the proposal back to the Board of Zoning Appeals after the Special Permit had been granted. T. Morgan moved to approve the North Olmsted Friends Church free standing structure as submitted (Special Permit as granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals) along with the recommendation of the Architectural Board of Revi.ew that the structure be moved 40' west, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. (e) Fotomat, 23100 Lorain Rd. Review by the Architectural Board of Review on May 19, 1980 There was no representative present. R. Bugala questioned the location of the photo booth ?as stipulated by the Architectural Board of Review. Their recommendation would move it closer to W. 231 St. and the neighbors on W. 231 had previously objected to the proposal on the basis of extra traffic and noise. B. Gorris moved to accept the Fotomat Proposal, 23100 Lorain Rd. with the recommendations of the Architectural Board of Review except, for relocation of the Building itself, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously app rove d. (f) SLmmark Industries (Stmoco), 23370 Lorain Rd. Review by the Architectural Board of Review on rlay 19, 1980. Mr. Krall, Krall Construction, advised that Stmmark is in agreement with the Architectural Board of Review's recom- mendations and that it would be possible to angle the roof to match the existing angle an the building. J. Roberts moved to approve Simmark Industries proposal as specified by the Architectural Board of R,eview with the poles painted "Colonial Ivory" to match the trim of the b.uilding, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved.
