41 <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - OCTOBER 14, 1980 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chainnan Bugala called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, B. Gorris, T. Morgan, R. Perla, J. Prokasy, <br />J. Roberts,and J. Brown. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, City Engineer R. <br />Zurawski, Assistant Law Director D. Ryan and Council- <br />persons R. Wilamosky, Y. Petrigac, J. Boehmer, D. McKa3r, <br />and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTIONS OF MINUTES: <br />T. Morgan moved to approve the Minutes of September 23,• 1980 as <br />submitted, seconded by R. Perla, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Rite Aid Drug Store, 23100 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal for addition to existing Rini's Supermarket for Drug <br />Store. Architect G. Draeger represented the Developer. <br />Parking area has 40 spaces over minimum code, the exterior will <br />match the existing building. The Engineering Department <br />will have to check present water retention system to see if <br />still adequate. It was determined that a triangular piece <br />of land shown as part of this property has actually been sold <br />to an adjacent development in Fairview. It was also determined. <br />that this segment is in Fairview and does not require sub- <br />division from the City of North Olmsted. The developers are, <br />according to Mr. Draeger, trying to work out a traffic pat- <br />tern with the developers of the adjacent shopping center. <br />An existing fence on the Rini praperty will be moved 10' <br />to the east boundry to provide employee parking. Residents questioned how one way traffic for trucks to loading dock <br />could be controlled since noise and fumes from trucks man- <br />eurvering will be even more of an annoyance than they are <br />at present. Neighbors were also concerned with more traffic <br />and also traffic late at night and on Sundays. Mr. Draeger <br />did not know the hours of the drug store. Mr. Prokasy ad- <br />vised the neighbors that the nuisance problems were not the <br />province of the Planning Commission. The parking spaces and <br />one way drive does conform to code. The one way drive can <br />be marked as such butcannot be enforced by Police, only by <br />the owner of property. J. Prokasy moved to refer the Rite
