Cifranic of the St. Clarence Building Committee re- <br />presented the Church. This request is for preliminary ap- <br />proval of a portion of the parking lot and the concept for <br />the entire complex• Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott <br />explained that the underground reterition system is being <br />reviewed and he can see no problem with it. The driveway <br />conforms to code. <br />B. Gorris moved to accept the Church of St. Clarence Center <br />concept plans and approve the parking and driveway portion of <br />Phase 1, seconded by R. Perla, and unanimously approved. <br />(f) T G I Friday, Great Northern Mall Space D100 <br />Mr. Fain and Mr. E. Biskind explained the revised plans which <br />include the 6' szdewalk'as recommended by the Architectural <br />Board of Review, however, they are not willing to remove the <br />red and white awning since this is their theme through out <br />the chain of restaurants. Chairman Bugala feels that this <br />could set a precedent for other outside structures on the Mall <br />all with different colors. Mr. Biskind of the Mall stated <br />that the owners would not allow that to happen. Tfie 6 ft. <br />sign will be metal letters, located at eye level and lighted <br />only by wash lights in a scalloped effect, and the entrance <br />identification sign is carved wooden letters 12 and 8 inches <br />high and approximately 7 feet long. The Commission suggested <br />that an additional tree be added at the entrance in line <br />with the other trees. <br />B. Gorris moved.to approve the T G I Friday Plans as sub- <br />- mitted by the developer which includes the 6' walkway with <br />the stipulation that one additional tree be put in west of <br />the existing row of four trees, seconded by T. Morgan, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Letter from Councilman Woerple and his Ad Hoc Committee submitting <br />copies of survey to be used for the Long Range Planning Committee. <br />VI.
